Administrative Assistant

West Donegal Township, Lancaster County, is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistance and Support Staff to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting and financial processing knowledge, customer service oriented, and accurate record keeping. This is a great opportunity for a young professional to begin their career in local government.

Candidate will perform daily front-office operations, coordinate communication between residents and township departments, maintain recordkeeping, coordinate trash scheduling, and basic municipal accounting duties under the supervision of the Financial Manager.  Support Township Manager and Zoning Department on an as needed basis.

Key responsibilities are, but not limited to, greeting visitors, answering telephone, and directing public inquiries regarding municipal services to appropriate departments. Assist in the Trash and Recycling coordinator’s duties, assist in financial process, and support staff to help set up and assemble meeting packets for public meetings.

The candidate must have a high school degree or equivalent. Secondary education in accounting or finance is preferred. A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a clerical position in the public or private sector.
